Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police in connection with some threat calls that he had been receiving from a particular number on his mobile phone since last week.

In his complaint to police commissioner BK Gupta, Alvi said the unknown caller used foul language. Gupta has assigned a special commissioner-level officer to look into the matter. “We have received the complaint and investigation has already been initiated into the matter,” he said.

“He has made several calls, some of which I ignored. Despite repeated requests, he continued to call on my mobile phone. I have sent a complaint to the police commissioner, which has been acknowledged by him,” said Alvi.
