Cong to talk 2G when PM returns

In the backdrop of Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi ruling out A Raja's resignation over the 2G spectrum scam, the Congress is likely to discuss the issue on Saturday after PM Manmohan Singh returns from the G-20 summit.

In the backdrop of Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi ruling out A Raja's resignation over the 2G spectrum scam, the Congress is likely to discuss the issue on Saturday after PM Manmohan Singh returns from the G-20 summit.

According to the government, a discussion can be taken up on the basis of the CAG's report on the issue. Said parliamentary affairs Minister PK Bansal: "Corruption is a serious issue… CAG report is yet to be finalised. The matter will then rest with the Public Accounts Committee that will look into it.'' Contending that anyone found guilty should be punished, he said after the report is presented, it is the right of House to go for a structured discussion.
