BJP councillors on Monday alleged in the MCD house meeting that a former Congress councillor has kept 500 cows at his residence that are also tied outside a MCD school in Rameshwar Nagar making it impossible for the students to study amidst foul smell.

According to the councillors Nathu Ram Nagar, has a total of 500 cows that roam around freely in areas such as Model Town, Adarsh Nagar, Rameshwar nagar, Gopal Nagar, Kewal Park with the MCD cattle catching team standing as mute spectator.

Additional Commissioner, Janak Digal has now directed the cattle catching team to round up the cattle from Nagar’s house within 15 days. In addition to this an FIR would also be registered in the case by the civic agency.
