The varsity sets aside 5% seats in each course for extra-curricular activities (ECA) and sports admissions. However, unlike the ECA admissions which permits 15% relaxation in cut-offs, there is no such cap for admissions under the sports quota.
Instead, 25% will be allotted to the candidate’s performance and achievements in the particular sport over the last three years and 75% to on-field trial.

However, the fitness tests will require them to clear two out of three tests on strength, endurance and speed.
While the strength test will require them to go through a standing broad jump, the endurance test will involve a 1,000m run or walk and the speed test — a 50 metres dash.
