A contractor murdered a 23-year-old MA student, studying at a college in Ghaziabad, just because he did not like the victim’s dog roaming near his premises.

A 25-year-old construction-material contractor was arrested on Tuesday for murdering the student on Saturday night, officials said. Soon after his arrest, accused Murli Yadav said that he did not like Praveen Singh’s Pomeranian dog which frequented his premises.
“I told him several times that he should stop his dog from frequenting my premises as it disturbed my construction material. But he did not listen to my warnings,” Yadav said. On Saturday night, when the victim was out of his house with the dog, Yadav confronted him and hit the dog with a stick.
He then decided to teach the victim a lesson. “Yadav hit the victim several times on his head in a fit of rage. As a result, Singh suffered critical injuries and ultimately died at a hospital in Noida,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Raghubir Lal said. The accused was seen several times, by a resident, having an altercation with the victim over the victim’s dog. “The resident informed the police without revealing his name and the accused was held for the incident,” SSP said.
