Cop arrested for molesting colleague

A Delhi Police sub inspector (SI) has been arrested for allegedly molesting his female subordinate and showing her obscene MMS clips.

The incident took place on Sunday in their office building that houses the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sharad Aggarwal and Rajouri Garden police station.

The police said that the SI tried to molest her when she ignored his demand to watch an obscene MMS clip. They added that he allegedly took her to an isolated spot in the building and tried to show her the MMS clip.

The building houses the police station on the ground floor, DCP’s office on the first floor and police's HAX plant on the second floor where the incident took place.

The woman, an assistant sub inspector (ASI), had come to the HAX office on Sunday to complete some pending work when the accused SI, Mukesh Chabra, allegedly asked her to come out of the office.

He told her to come out on the pretext of some official work. When she came out, the officials said, the sub inspector took out his mobile phone and tried to show her some obscene MMS clips which she objected.

“When she objected, he allegedly molested her,” said a senior police officer on the conditions of anonymity, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.

The woman freed herself from Chabra’s clutches and rushed downstairs and submitted a complaint at the Rajouri Garden police station.

A case of outraging the modesty of woman and acts intended to intrude into the privacy of woman has been registered against him. Chabra was arrested following investigations into the complaint.
