Cop’s kin beat up owner of CP restaurant
If you are related to a politician or a police officer, you have the liberty to piss anywhere in Delhi and beat up anyone who objects, reports Vijaita Singh.
If you are related to a politician or a police officer, you have the liberty to piss anywhere in Delhi and beat up anyone who objects. That’s exactly what the drunk son of a politician and the son-in-law of a senior police officer did in Connaught Place on Sunday night.

First, they assaulted a security guard who objected to them urinating on the shutters of a closed restaurant in L Block of CP. Then they bashed up an elderly couple who own the property. Not finished, they assaulted a cop who intervened and tore his uniform.
To bring the two under control, five PCR vans and about 20 policemen had to be engaged.
The two were identified as Sunil Yadav, son of Dharamvir Yadav, a Youth Congress leader and Daljeet Singh Chopra, the son-in-law of ACP Surender Singh, posted in Crime Against Women cell in Outer district.
“I am a diabetic. The two pulled me by my hair, abused me and beat me up. They were flaunting their police connections,” said 58-year-old Suman Garg. Her husband, Subhash Garg, who too was beaten up, owns the property.
The two men were booked for assault and molestation. “We may add sections of assaulting a public servant,” a senior cop said.
