Cops on alert after bomb hoax call

Gurgaon police had a tough time on Tuesday after they received a hoax call claiming that a bomb was planted at the main inter-state bus terminal. HT reports.

Gurgaon police had a tough time on Tuesday after they received a hoax call claiming that a bomb was planted at the main inter-state bus terminal.

The police rushed to spot and evacuated hundreds of passengers leading to chaos.

A frantic search was launched by the bomb detection and dog squads for about one-and-a-half hours.

The bus service was restored after the search. According to the police officials, they received a call from an unknown person at the police control room at about 2.26 pm saying

He had planted a bomb in main bus terminal complex near fountain roundabout.

Police have identified the caller. They said the person would be arrested soon.
