Consider this: from April 2012 to February 2013, a total of 6585 complaints were registered but according to the councillors, very few have been addressed.

According to the elected body, several officials facing serious charges continue to hold key posts while investigations against others are pending.

“The department is required to monitor the posting of officials on sensitive posts. But officers, who are facing charges and major complaints continue to hold key posts,” Mahendra Nagpal, leader of the House said.
