CPM for fresh probe into Modi's role post-Godhra

Terming the SIT report on Gujarat riots as an attempt to cover-up Narendra Modi's "heinous" role, the CPM on Friday demanded fresh probe into the Gujarat chief minister’s actions during the post-Godhra riots to ensure that the truth comes out and accountability is fixed.

Terming the SIT report on Gujarat riots as an attempt to cover-up Narendra Modi's "heinous" role, the CPM on Friday demanded fresh probe into the Gujarat chief minister’s actions during the post-Godhra riots to ensure that the truth comes out and accountability is fixed.

In a statement, the party said, "The SIT findings exonerating Narendra Modi have been questioned by the report submitted to the SC by the amicus curiae. A fresh investigation into the role of Modi should be conducted."
