CR Park assault-and-robbery case solved: police
The Southeast Delhi Police claimed they had solved the case of assault and robbery at a senior citizen’s house in Chittaranjan Park within 24 hours. HT Correspondent reports.
The Southeast Delhi Police claimed they had solved the case of assault and robbery at a senior citizen’s house in Chittaranjan Park within 24 hours.
They have arrested five people: Afzal Hussain (23), Mohammed Rizwan (23), Mohammed Tariqulla (23) and Naushad Khan (22) along with jeweller Ravi Kumar.
The robbery took place on March 16, when victim Mridula Mukherjee (76) was at home with her daughter-in-law.
During investigation, police found that Naushad had carried out some repairs at the house. A team was formed to apprehend him and during raids three of his accomplices were also arrested.
Police said one of the accused, Mohammed Rizwan, had had studied up to Class XII and was a Judo expert.
They said Rizwan had been involved in three other cases of robbery, dacoity and arms Act.
