The Delhi Police have issued a ‘Look Out Circular (LOC)’ against Hari Kishan, the mastermind of the R5.25 crore heist on Friday, and his wife fearing that they might try to leave the country.

Sources said Kishan and his wife, who have valid passports in their names, might plan to fly to London where one of his sisters stays.

The latest development in the sensational robbery was made after teams of the south district police lost trail of Kishan, his wife Rashmi and three other accused — Vijay Nahar, Ranjeet Rumal and Yogesh Kumar.

Sources said information collected through local intelligence suggests that Kishan and his wife left the city on Saturday morning in a white Maruti Zen car. They probably fled to Nepal via Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. The other three robbers could either be hiding in Delhi-NCR or may have fled to any other state.

“There is a strong possibility that Kishan and his wife have crossed the Indian border and are currently hiding in Nepal. Sharma’s interrogation revealed that entering Nepal was one of the alternative plans which Kishan had made to evade his arrest,” said a source.

Kishan’s London-based sister had always been supportive of her brothers despite knowing that they are dreaded criminals.

In 2008, she came to India and made her best possible efforts to secure bail of her brothers, who were lodged in Tihar jail in connection with the murder of a mobile phone showroom owner in Laxmi Nagar.

Kishan’s another sister lives in RK Puram area and leads given by her led to the arrest of Deepak Sharma, Kishan’s brother.

Police so far have arrested Sharma and four others —Mukesh Saini, Umesh, Krishan Valmiki and Tekram — in connection with the robbery. Of the five arrested, only Sharma was directly involved in the robbery. The others were part of the plan and provided logistical support to the five robbers.

So far the police have been able to recover only Rs 2.39 crore of the total amount.
