Dikshit said the government rap was going to be severe.
She was speaking at the annual officers’ address to mark 11 years of her government at the Delhi Secretariat.
“We cannot afford to let down our nation and we are committed to making Commonwealth Games 2010 a grand success,” the chief minister said.
“The government will not listen to any excuses for delay in projects completion and contractors responsible for delays will be blacklisted apart from other contractual actions against them.”
Apart from the contractors, Dikshit said, all departments should push for completion of the projects related to the Games in time and work in tandem to avoid confusion or duplication of work.
“It is a big event. We are making every effort to make it a grand success,” she later told mediapersons. “Of course, there are some areas of concern.”
Beside infrastructure, the government was also concerned about how Delhiites come across to visitors, Dikhsit said.
A civility campaign had been launched by the government to create awareness about courteous behaviour and good public manners, she added.
