Chief minister Sheila Dikshit said the bill is likely to be presented in the Assembly session beginning Tuesday.
With every inch of Delhi being mapped using 3-D imaging, all government agencies will now have to use this data for future planning and infrastructure development, Dikshit said.
A senior official from the information technology (IT) department said they now have data available of both above the ground as well as 10-metre below the ground, collected through aerial photographs and using sophisticated system to study the underground system.
It is first of its kind 3-D Geographical Information System (GIS) database prepared anywhere in the country.
The department has also established two monitoring centres and has installed 63 cameras at strategic positions in the city to transmit relevant information to the monitoring centres, which could be super imposed on the data residing in the GIS system and the changes could be identified and investigated.
