Arvind Dabas, who has been on medical leave for the past year and a half, was arrested Friday.

“He runs a real estate business in Uttarakhand and payment on one of his deals was blocked. A local BJP leader assured him the matter would be referred directly to Jaitley,” an officer said. To verify that claim, police said he misused his position to gain access to Jaitley’s call records.
