"All medical treatment in government and private hospitals will be borne by the Delhi government. The treatment is provided to inured free of charge," Delhi cabinet announced after holding an emergency meeting following the mayhem.

At least 20 people were killed and 50 injured as five bombs went off in a space of 22 minutes in three crowded areas in the worst terror attack in the capital in nearly three years.

The cabinet condemned the serial bomb blasts in the capital.

"The cabinet expressed deep sympathy with the families of the deceased who lost their near and dear ones and condoled the unfortunate and tragic demise of the victims due to the blasts," a Delhi government spokesperson said.

The government appealed to the citizens of Delhi to stand strong together to face the situation with calm and fortitude and not to be provoked by such cowardly acts of terrorist violence.

"The people of Delhi have always loved peace and lived in harmony and must do so in this hour of crisis," the spokesperson added.
