Delhi Govt considering closing schools due to cold conditions

Delhi government is considering closing schools in the capital in the wake of intense cold wave sweeping the city. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said her government is considering closing at least the primary schools to give relief to children.

Delhi government is considering closing schools in the capital in the wake of intense cold wave sweeping the city. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said her government is considering closing at least the primary schools to give relief to children.

"We are considering it. We will discuss the issue in Monday's Cabinet meeting which will take a final decision on it," she said.

The capital has been experiencing a cold spell for the last few days with the minimum temperature hovering around five to nine degree Celsius.
