"We have asked all the hospitals, 11 to be precise, in Delhi to replicate the new guidelines issued by the Centre recently on the dreaded disease while treating the patients.

"As per the new norms, patients, whose swab test are pending but have mild flu symptoms, will now have the option of being treated at home," State Health Minister Kiran Walia told reporters in New Delhi.

The Centre while issuing the guidelines considered the fact that the fear of isolation at stipulated hospitals was making less people with swine flu symptoms to report.

With educational institutions being considered worst hit in view of a number of students testing positive for the virus, Walia said schools authorities have been given the option to shut down the schools in case their students are infected by the disease.

So far, 31 cases of swine flu have been reported from the national capital.
