Metro officials made a complete mess of the rescue operations, stranded passengers in the snag-hit train claimed.

They alleged that there was a complete lack of planning in the rescue and evacuate operation. Lights went out in the snag-hit train soon after it stopped between Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhavan station, the AC was also switched off. Since the train was packed due to morning rush, passengers got claustrophic and panicked.
A passenger who got down from the train and started walking towards the Central Secretariat station claimed that there was nobody to take care of them. He alleged that some passengers suffered minor injuries.

A number of passengers complained that the public announcement system in the train did not clarify as to why the train was stranded and how long would it take for it to resume the journey.
They said there was complete lack of communication, which fuelled the panic and the people were forced to open the emergency gates.
DMRC chief Mangu Singh has appointed a three-member panel consisting executive director (safety), executive director (rolling stock) and general manager (operations) to probe into the causes of the failure and to suggest measures to manage evacuation procedures in underground tunnels.
