Delhi Metro's last trains will leave their originating stations at 8pm on Diwali on Wednesday, an official said.
Wednesday's last trains will start at 8pm from Dilshad Garden, Rithala, Jahangirpuri, Huda City Centre, Noida City Centre, Dwarka Sector-21, Yamuna Bank, Vaishali, Inderlok, Mundka, Central Secretariat and Badarpur Metro stations.
"The service will run as usual in the morning and begin at 6am," Delhi Metro spokesman Anuj Dayal said.
The Delhi Metro will also run 200 extra trips Friday to avoid overcrowding on Bhai Duj.
Normally, 15 trains are withdrawn from the lines during non-peak hours from 12.30pm to 4.30pm. But in view of the festival rush, these trains will be kept in service on Friday.
The Delhi Metro makes around 2,400 trips every day, traversing about 69,000 km and carrying around 18 lakh passengers.
