Delhi Police arrests seven men, claims to crack two cases of murder

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police on Monday claimed to have cracked the murders of two businessmen brothers and that of a local criminal with the arrest of seven persons, including a youth who is pursuing diploma in engineering.
The police said that the alleged gang leader Naveen Khati is also a diploma holder in electronics while another accused Sandeep is working as a peon in Customs and Central Excise Department.
“While the brothers were murdered on December 20 in Chhawla after one of them refused to withdraw a case against the gang leader for not honouring a cheque of R1.75 lakh, the local criminal was killed in a turf war,” said Ashok Chand, DCP (crime).
The arrests came in a span of 26 days following investigations by a team of 50 policemen who raided Mitraon, Kapashera and Dwarka in Delhi and different places in north and central India like Agra, Morena and Bhopal.
The arrested have been identified as Naveen Khati (35), his cousin Naresh (32), Arvind (34), Vijay (22), Vikash (22), Sandeep (24), all resident of Mitraon village in Delhi and Vikas (21) of Najafgarh and Naresh (32) of Dinpur village. Five of them carry a reward of R50,000 each.
A local criminal Pradeep Kumar was shot dead allegedly by the gang on September 13 last year.

Plans prepared to promote natural farming in Haryana: Khattar
Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said his government has prepared a plan to promote natural farming on 50,000 acres of land. He said that farmers having land below 2.5 acres will be provided 50% subsidy for buying indigenous cows if they voluntarily adopt natural farming. Haryana agriculture minister JP Dalal said that 700 agriculture development officers will be recruited soon to provide better assistance to the farmers.

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday launched state narcotics control bureau's 'Mission Drug Free Haryana' on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illegal Trafficking.
