According to sources, the Delhi government is now conducting an enquiry on whether the girl attempted the suicide or not.

The girl and her family maintained that she had tried to kill herself but AIIMS denied it.

Sources said that the government’s enquiry has confirmed that the girl had actually attempted suicide.

The girl’s condition is normal now and she is talking to her father. “Our priority is the well being of the girl. Her counselling has started. It is a slow process and the scars are deep. We do not want to tax the girl,” Delhi social welfare minister Kiran Walia said.
