“Denmark has now indicated that it will work with us again to arrive at ways to extradite Kim Davy and put him on trial for his role in the Purulia arms drop conspiracy,” said a CBI source. The source also said the agency will soon send a team to Copenhagen for discussing with Danish authorities on how to get Davy extradited.
Five months ago, the Danish government had refused the request of CBI to appeal in a superior court against the June 2011 order of that country’s high court which cancelled Davy’s extradition. Upset with the decision, India had scaled down its diplomatic ties with Denmark.
