DTC to fall short of staff

With the Delhi Transport Corporation’s (DTC) fleet swelling, the corporation is facing a shortage of drivers and conductors.

With the Delhi Transport Corporation’s (DTC) fleet swelling, the corporation is facing a shortage of drivers and conductors.

By March 2010, DTC will have 5,200 buses. There will be a shortage of 2,600 drivers and 3,200 conductors. “We will need 13,100 drivers and equal number of conductors. But we will have 10,500 drivers and 9,900 conductors,” said a DTC official.
