DU releases academic calender for 2010-11

Under the new system of evaluation, the students of Delhi University will have two semesters of 16 weeks each. The varsity released the academic calender for the session 2010-11 on Thursday.

Under the new system of evaluation, the students of Delhi University will have two semesters of 16 weeks each.
The varsity released the academic calender for the session 2010-11 on Thursday.

The first semester will commence from July 21, 2010 and end on December 4, 2010 while the second semester will begin on January 3, 2011 and end on May 14, 2010.

Both the semester will have three weeks of examination, a week each of preparatory holidays for exams and mid-semester breaks.

Between November 20, 2010 to December 10, 2010 students will be given preparation leave and the varsity will conduct the exams for the first semester.

The preparation leave and the conduct of the exams for the second semester will be from April 17, 2011 to May 20, 2011. The results for first semester will be declared between December 11, 2010 to January 10, 2011 while that of second semester will be declared between May 21 and June 20.

The winter break is now scheduled to take place from December 11, 2010 to January 2, 2011 and the summer vacation will be from May 21, 2011 to July 20, 2011.
