DU student dies in canteen

A 21-year-old Delhi University student died after she collapsed in her college canteen after having a cold drink on Thursday morning in east Delhi. HT reports.

A 21-year-old Delhi University student died after she collapsed in her college canteen after having a cold drink on Thursday morning in east Delhi.

Though investigators were waiting for the autopsy report to ascertain the exact cause of death, a senior police officer said it could be a case of natural death. The victim suffered from low-blood pressure, police said.

The girl was identified as Kanika Sharma, a resident of Raj Nagar in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. She was a student of BA (programme) 3rd year at the Vivekananda College and also the president of the college union.
