"Of 43 critically polluted industrial pockets, only 27 have submitted action plans. In these sites moratorium has been lifted as they go ahead with plans to control pollution," Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said on Tuesday.

However, the moratorium which was imposed in January banning all new projects has been extended till October 31 in the clusters whose action plans are yet to be received and evaluated, he said while making clear that the moratorium can be lifted anytime once the action plan is cleared by the Central Pollution Control Board.
