"It is a disappointing decision for the common man. The global prices of crude oil have come down from $147 to $43.5 a barrel, which is down to more than one-third. The present cut is less than ten per cent in petrol and around 5 per cent for diesel. The prices of petrol and diesel should have been reduced correspondingly to the international crude oil prices," party General Secretary Arun Jaitley told PTI.

The huge burden on the consumer still remain and the government needs to be more considerate to the common man, he added.
