Lal’s son-in-law Naveen Singh (33) was allegedly forcing Sunita (32) into prostitution.

On Saturday noon, Lal walked into Prashant Vihar police station and told the police his daughter had murdered his son-in-law.

“Lal said she was at his house in Sector-16, Rohini and asked us to take appropriate action against her,” said Atul Katiyar, DCP (Outer Delhi).

Singh, a barber, had lost his job a few months back. Sunita told the police Singh was forcing her into prostitution and used to get clients home to fund his drinking binges.

On Friday, Sunita allegedly attacked Naveen with a roller-pin when he reportedly beat her up and asked her to consume alcohol.

He lost consciousness. Sunita later attacked him with kitchen knives and locked his body in the bathroom. She then fled to her father’s house nearby.
