A city court on Monday directed Delhi Police to probe a complaint against Anna Hazare and his team.

Metropolitan Magistrate Tyagita Singh ordered: "Notice be issued to the Station House Office (SHO), Kamla Market Police Station, for filing (a) status report on September 16."

The order comes after one Satbir Singh, a native of Haryana, filed a complaint against Anna Hazare, Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal, Shanti Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan for defaming the government and instigating 'innocent' people during their anti-corruption campaign.

Appearing before the court in person, Singh told the judge that earlier, advocates had refused to entertain his plea.

Singh told the court that he had also filed a complaint with SHO, Kamla Market, but no action was taken.
