FIR against MLA for ‘beating up’ MCD engineers
The Delhi police have registered an FIR against MLA Shoaib Iqbal, his son councillor Aale Mohammad and two other city zone councillors Irfan and Rakesh Kumar for allegedly beating up MCD engineers on Monday.
The Delhi police have registered an FIR against MLA Shoaib Iqbal, his son councillor Aale Mohammad and two other city zone councillors Irfan and Rakesh Kumar for allegedly beating up MCD engineers on Monday.
“A case of obstructing a public servant from performing his duty and unlawful confinement has been registered at the Darya Ganj Police Station against the MLA, his son and the two other councillors on the basis of a complaint from MCD officials. Investigation is under way,” a senior Delhi Police official said.
“The engineers were brutally beaten up by the area councillor and MLA in the presence of deputy commissioner RS Meena. All JEs of the city zone have proceeded on mass leave and will demonstrate against this brutal incident on Wednesday at 10am in the DC office, city zone,” a North corporation engineer claimed.
