Fire at Excise Tribunal in south-west Delhi

A fire broke out in the records room of Central Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal in south-west Delhi.

"A fire broke out in the records room of Central Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal in south-west Delhi on Tuesday morning," fire brigade officials said.

"The blaze was reported at 9:25 am at the records room of the Tribunal located in R K Puram and four fire tenders were rushed to the spot," they said.

"The fire was doused in about 30 minutes," they said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Officials of the Tribunal were not immediately available to ascertain whether any records were destroyed in the blaze.
