Prime Minister informed a delegation of Congress leaders from Uttar Pradesh that Chief Minister Mayawati is yet to send on proper format the memorandum for obtaining funds from the National Calamity Fund for the flood ravaged state, according to state unit chief Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

The PM promised full assistance to the state, she said in a press release.

The delegation on Tuesday petitioned the PM to give “maximum possible” financial help for the flood victims, send a central team to assess the extent of damage and ensure a mechanism to monitor the utilisation of funds.
