Flood threat in 30 villages

In view of the flood threat in about thirty villages in Faridabad and Palwal, administration has evacuated several villages and shifted the people to government accommodations on Thursday. HT reports.

A contingent of Army personnel visited villages likely to be affected by flood on Thursday due to release of about seven lakh cusec of water in Tajewala dam on Tuesday. A strong team of National Disaster Management arrived at Faridabad and Palwal from Bhatinda in Punjab.

As the released water is expected to reach Faridabad on Friday, the authorities in these two districts have sounded red alert in the villages.
