The arrested persons have been identified as Purnima (the former assistant) Virender and Mohit (the bouncers) and one Deepak. Police have recovered Rs 7.5 lakh, paid as ransom and one gold chain from the possession of the accused.

AK Ojha, DCP (southwest) said that during interrogation, the accused revealed that they had abducted Lal to make easy money with the help of Purnima, as the two had worked together in an NGO earlier.

On August 30, she enticed Lal and took him to a secluded place, where the other accused were already present. They then kidnapped him at gunpoint.
