Four more Swine flu deaths, toll touches 600

Four more persons, including two from Rajasthan, died due to swine flu, with the death toll touching 600 even as 252 fresh cases were reported from across the country on Thursday, said the health Ministry. Besides Rajasthan, one each deaths were reported from Maharashtra and Punjab.

Out of the 252 fresh cases, Delhi reported the maximum number of 125 cases followed by Haryana (34) and Maharashtra

and Uttar Pradesh (21 each). With this, the total number of cases has now touched 18,872.

Of the 252 cases reported during the day, four are having history of foreign travel and rest are indigenous cases.

Till today, samples from 89,362 people have been tested for swine flu in government laboratories and a few private laboratories across the country and 21.1 per cent of them have been found positive for the virus.
