Ghaziabad devp authorities to fund projects

The Ghaziabad development authority and the UP Avas Vikas Parishad, the two major development authorities in Ghaziabad, have decided to work together and fund several of major infrastructure-projects in the city.

A decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting of the officials with the housing-commissioner of the Uttar Pradesh government on Friday.

Under the arrangement, the two authorities will share 50% cost of the major projects agreed upon. The agencies will share the cost of a proposed over-bridge on river Hindon which will connect Vijay Nagar to Indirapuram.

This 4-lane bridge will provide better connectivity towards NH-24 and reduce pressure on the highway. Further, a mini international sports stadium for indoor sports has also been proposed to be built on six acres of land at Vasundhara.
