Glitch hits Metro operations on ITO-Mandi house line

Services were affected between 7:48 am and 11:40 am

Services on the Mandi House-ITO section on Delhi Metro’s violet line were affected after a train broke down between the two stations.

Services remained affected on the section for around four hours. Services were affected between 7:48 am and 11:40 am. The affected train was removed from the section at 11:40 am.

Regular train services resumed at ITO Metro station later, a metro official said.

The Violet Line connects ITO with Escorts Mujesar in Faridabad. The services between Mandi House and Escorts Mujesar ran normally during this period.

“I had to get down Janpath and take an auto to reach Mandi House. My office is at Tolstoy Marg so it is convenient to get down there. The stretch from Janpath is jammed during peak office hours,” said Malathi Mohan, a regular commuter of the violet line.
