According to police, the truck, laden with milk and milk products — fell into a 30-foot manhole, reportedly dug-up by the Delhi Jal Board in northeast Delhi’s Shahdara area, around 3:30 am.

“The truck was on its way from Hapur to a dairy in Delhi’s Durgapuri area, when the incident occurred,” said a senior police officer.

Such was the impact that the truck reportedly broke into two as soon as it fell.
