Coming back to “Fix insurgency. Stop the rot” article, I strongly feel that the state and the centre should re-examine their “thinking and dealing” model strategies while dealing with naxalities. Nobody is born with a pistol or a grenade. The harsh adversities of life multiplied by dereliction attitude of the states towards them forces them to take such steps.

One has to listen and understand gravity of their grievances in a patient manner and outcomes need not necessarily be brought by gun but by dialogues too. Sometimes children become rebels but that doesn’t mean parents will always resort to scale hitting techniques. A warm gesture with love and affection can too solve the problem.
