Govindacharya lends support to Hazare's fast

Former BJP ideologue Govindacharya today lent support to Anna Hazare's fast for a strong Lokpal asking him to continue it and accused BJP of not playing well its role as the main Opposition on the issue.

"I came here as a conscious citizen of this country. I did try to be a negotitator. I will try to take this forward but Anna Hazare should not end his fast," he told reporters at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.

He also said Hazare's movement was "much bigger" than the Jai Prakash movement of the 1970s.

"10% of the RSS will be here because they are concious people," he said.

Govindacharya also accused the main opposition BJP of not playing its role well on the issue.
