Govindacharya was admitted to Apollo hospital Saturday night with a suspected blood clot. He is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

"He is in a stable condition now. A team of doctors is keeping a close watch on him," a hospital source told the agency.

"Doctors will decide tomorrow whether an operation needs to performed or the blood clot can be removed through medication," they said.
