Meanwhile, the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) on Monday held its second hearing in the case, regarding why the discoms were not able to pay their dues. The next hearing will take place on December 20.

Officials said the BSES has been asked to bring its revised financial plan in the next meet. "The first hearing had taken place on December 7. The second hearing took place on Monday, but nothing has been concluded yet," said an official. BSES Rajdhani and Yamuna were served notices on November 26 by the DERC, asking "why their licences for operation should not be suspended".
