The delay, which was reportedly caused due to a fault in calculations, has been solved and salaries totaling to Rs 40 lakh has been released by the education ministry on Thursday.

Haryana education minister Geeta Bhukkal said: "After the revised payscale was implemented, reports from district officers got delayed. Due to this, the whole process was delayed in a few districts of the state."

After a meeting with the chief minister, payments to the tune of Rs 40 lakh were released which are expected to reach teachers soon. The announcement brought a sigh of relief for teachers who were protesting for the last few months.
