"His condition deteriorated last night. He was not able to pass urine," Surjeet's daughter-in-law Manjeet told IANS.

The 93-year-old Communist leader was hospitalised in a critical condition on May 16 following a cadio-respiratory attack. He was discharged on June 13 after his condition stabilised.

"His condition is now serious. We will have to wait till the evening to see what happens," Manjeet said early on Saturday afternoon.
