HC intervention sought in Games

A Supreme Court lawyer on Wednesday asked the Delhi High Court to intervene and “save the prestige of the country” by ensuring that Commonwealth projects are completed on time.

Amitabha Sen, 68, who himself was a chief engineer with a construction company in San Francisco, suggested formation of panel of competent technocrats to help finish the Games projects. But the judges refused to intervene saying “such directions are not within the domain of the court”.
