Dismissing the plea of inspector Dharamvir Singh of Dabri police station to scrap the lower court’s order for a probe against him, Justice Shiv Narayan Dhingra held that “unearthing truth is the duty of courts and the lower court was only doing its duty”.

He upheld the trial court’s findings and and directed the police commissioner to conduct an inquiry against Singh.
