HC slams DDA for 30-yr delay

The Delhi high court on Wednesday sought an explanation from the vice-chairman of the DDA for delay of 30 years in allotting plots to around 25,000 applicants who had cleared the draw of lots for the Rohini Residential Scheme floated in 1981.

The Delhi high court on Wednesday sought an explanation from the vice-chairman of the DDA for delay of 30 years in allotting plots to around 25,000 applicants who had cleared the draw of lots for the Rohini Residential Scheme floated in 1981.

A bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Sanjiv Khanna directed the DDA to submit a plan for allotment of plots within three weeks. "We feel that DDA has been making mere assurances and not proceeding further," said the bench.
