HC tells Delhi govt to pay Rs 3 lakh to girl for injury
Delhi high court on Wednesday asked the city government to pay Rs 3 lakh to a class 11 girl who suffered partial vision loss after being hit in her right eye by a stone flung from across the boundary of her state-run school.

Delhi high court on Wednesday asked the city government to pay Rs 3 lakh to a class 11 girl who suffered partial vision loss after being hit in her right eye by a stone flung from across the boundary of her state-run school.
The court also directed the government to depute two homeguards at each of its girl schools. A division bench of chief justice Dipak Misra and justice Sanjiv Khanna ordered the Delhi government to pay ex-gratia to Saima Khan of Vishwamitra Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya on a letter written by NGO, Patrons for Poor People's Foundation (PPPF), apprising the court of her case.
