Hospital strike enters day two

Most medical services remained paralysed in government hospitals in the Capital as the strike by around 75,000 third and fourth-class employees continued despite the government imposing the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA).

Hospitals most affected included AIIMS, Safdarjang Hospital, Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, LNJP, GB Pant, Lady Hardinge, Sucheta Kriplani Hospital, Kalavati Saran Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, Guru Nanak Eye Centre and Rao Tularam Hospital.
